Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue &

The Erna R. Badstieber Paws & Claws Adoption Center

To kick off last night’s fundraiser at Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, Kris with Jordan’s Way made it rain treats for the dogs thanks to the first donation of the night. This fundraiser was generously hosted by Heartland Paws Natural Pet Food and Supplies. You can visit them at www.facebook.com/heartlandpawsomaha to show their page some love.

Thanks to Val Verde Animal Hospital and Papillion Animal Hospital for coming out to support Muddy Paws Rescue. Check them out below and make sure to give them a like on Facebook.

The bamboozled jelly bean challenge brought in the donations. The Muddy Paws staff all had to play jelly bean roulette. Thankfully the flavors didn’t seem too terrible for anyone!

Midway through the fundraiser, we met a sweet canine soul named Nessa. Though she’s in a wheelchair, she doesn’t let her paralysis slow her down. Nessa is still searching for her forever home. Do you have room in your heart to share your special home with her? If interested in adopting Nessa, visit www.muddypawssecondchancerescue.com/available-pets to fill out an application today!

The donors were SO supportive, we reached milestones for Kenny, Paul and Isaiah to all shave their heads. We love seeing shelter staff and fundraiser participants so committed to the cause!

The ice bucket challenge is always a crowd pleaser. Mary and Isaiah had two minutes to raise $100 or Isaiah was going to get dunked. The donors stepped up and poor Isaiah got a bucket of icy, cold water right over the head.

We can’t forget the pie face challenges. A pie to the face is a small price to pay to raise funds for the cats and dogs in the shelter.

Between the Facebook fundraiser and private donations rolling in, Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue raised over $13,000. A tremendous thank you to all of the generous donors who supported this fantastic rescue. As always, the fundraiser link remains live for a week so please share or click the link below to keep their donations climbing.

After a blast at Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue last night, this morning Jordan's Way geared up to visit The Erna R. Badstieber Paws & Claws Adoption Center in Columbus, Nebraska.

The fundraiser kicked off with treats and puppachinos as the donations steadily rolled in to spoil the shelter dogs.

The pressure was on because if we reached $3,000 on Facebook, an anonymous donor was stepping up with $2000!! We made it, what a generous donation!

The bailout wars were next and Team 1 had to raise as much money as possible in 25 minutes, in hopes they could raise more than Team 2. Unfortunately for them, they fell short and Team 2 got to pie them in the face!

Bark Avenue Grooming walked in to donate a whopping $300! A huge thank you to this generous business. Show Bark Avenue Grooming some love in return, by going to www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057232608265 and giving them a like!

Bake Up Artist agreed to give every dog a cupcake if our donations reached $3,000, and they DID! The dogs sure enjoyed their cupcakes. For all of your delicious dog treat needs, visit www.facebook.com/latoyaenquist

Next up, Kurt agreed to shave his beard if an additional $1,000 came in and guess what? Thanks to the generosity of today’s donors, Kurt left today looking like a new man! Way to commit to your local Shelter, Kurt!

Sweet girl Sissy licked a peanut butter snack from her friend Ashley’s lips. What a gentle girl. Sissy has been in the shelter for 6 months and is so ready for her forever family. Go to www.pawsandclawsne.org/about-1-1 to see if you might be a good fit for her.

If an additional $1000 was raised in 25 minutes, Jordan’s way would buy every dog a burger. If not, the staff was going to get a cold water hose down! Thankfully for the dogs (and the staff), the money was raised and every dog got a burger. But that was not the clincher of the Paws & Claws fundraiser. Rick turned up the heat challenging another $400 in donations and he would wax his chest! Painfully for him, we got there and he walked out smoother than a baby’s bottom.

We had such a fun time fundraising for this wonderful shelter. Thank you to each and every one of the individual and business donors who helped make today a huge success! As always, the link stays active for the next 7 days so head over to www.facebook.com/donate/5770358113073694/ to keep the donations coming.

On deck we have Holt County Animal Shelter www.facebook.com/HoltCountyAnimalShelter and Adopt-A-Dog Animal Rescue, Inc. www.facebook.com/AdoptaDogAnimalRescue. Please be sure to give them a like and either join us live on their Facebook pages or come on back to the blog tomorrow to see what you may have missed!
